Description
This farm building, likely used as stables and now serving as a store, is located to the west of Boundary Farmhouse and is dated 1739 above the door. It features handmade red brick in Flemish bond, with some sandstone rubble, and has a stone slate roof, except for the left end which is covered in slate. The building consists of three structural bays, with a partition between the second and third bays, and includes a small rear wing.
The front of the building has a wide segmental-headed doorway leading into the second bay and a narrower doorway into the third bay. Above the doorway to the third bay is a datestone inscribed with "T M 1739." There is a segmental-headed window with wooden louvres situated between the two doors, and to the right, a segmental-headed three-light sliding sashed window.
On the left gable wall, there is a ground floor doorway and window, along with a loading door above, all of which are segmental-headed. The upper part of this gable wall has been rebuilt using common brick. At the rear of the third bay, there is a small gabled wing made of sandstone rubble, while the remainder of the rear has been rebuilt.
