Description

A row of three small cottages dating from the mid to later 19th century, and subsequently altered. The cottages are constructed of red brick in an English garden wall bond (a pattern of five bricks with one header brick), with a stone slate roof. They have a double-depth plan, each with a single frontage. The cottages are two storeys high, with one and one window each. North View, the cottage on the left, and the central Braden Cottage have adjoining doorways, while Sun Dew, the cottage on the right, has its doorway set slightly apart. Braden Cottage retains original sash windows, with 12 panes on the ground floor and 9 panes above. The other cottages have altered windows, now top-hung casements with glazing bars. North View also has windows with the appearance of shutters.
