Description
Brookside is a house dating from the early 19th century that has been altered. It is constructed of coursed squared sandstone and features a slate roof. The building has a rectangular double-depth, double-fronted plan and stands two storeys high with three symmetrical windows. The façade includes raised quoins, a plain frieze, and a moulded cornice.
On the ground floor, there is a round-headed doorway flanked by plain pilasters, with simple imposts and a moulded head featuring a keystone. The door and fanlight have been altered. The ground floor also has 12-pane sashed windows with raised sills and wedge lintels. The upper floor windows have similar openings but feature altered 12-pane glazing. The house has corniced gable chimneys. The sides and rear of the building have various small windows with altered glazing, and the rear includes a small lean-to porch.
