Description

This farm building, located about 70 metres north-north-east of Manor Farmhouse, likely dates from the 18th century. It is constructed of Flemish bond red brick with an English bond brick plinth and features a plain tile roof with half-hipped ends. The gables are timber-framed, and there is a brick eaves cornice. The building has a long rectangular shape facing the farmyard, originally without internal partitions, and includes two small doorways at the front. An outshut has been added to the rear of the left-hand end.

The exterior is single-storey with a widely spaced three-window south front, featuring two doorways between the windows. The right doorway has been converted into a window, while the extreme right window has been turned into a doorway; all have cambered brick arch heads. There is also a doorway inserted into the left (west) gable end. At the rear (north), there is a doorway to the left of centre and an outshut on the right, along with small roof lights. The ground in front of the building appears to have been excavated, and there is a large 20th-century ramp leading to the left doorway.

Inside, there are later partitions, and the roof is likely of four bays. One visible truss features raking queen struts to the principal rafters and a collar with clasped purlins.
