Description

Tedhams House Farmhouse is a house dating from the late 16th century, with a front added in the late 18th century. The rear is timber framed and sits on a brick plinth, while the lower part is clad in brick and the upper part is tile hung. The front features a whitewashed brick range. The roof at the back is plain tiled, while the front has a slate roof, with end ridge stacks at the front topped with dentilled brick and a large square corbelled stack at the rear. The building has a T-shaped plan and is two storeys tall at the front, displaying regular fenestration. There are three sash windows on the first floor, with the centre window being narrow and arched, and the outer windows having cambered heads, all beneath a plat band. On the ground floor, there is an angle bay window to the right, covered by a slate roof. The central entrance features a panelled door set in a projecting rendered surround, topped by a shallow projecting cornice, with a vermiculated keystone at the centre of the arched surround. The rear wing consists of three framed bays, with two casement windows on both the first floor and the ground floor to the right, and a boarded door to the left of centre.
