Description
Horne House Farmhouse is a house dating from the 16th century, with a front added in the 18th century. It is timber framed, with rendered cladding on the lower part and tile hanging above, and has 1½ storeys. The roof is plain tiled and features a large ridge stack positioned to the left of the center, along with a brick dentil band at the top.
The house has two storeys and three windows on the first floor. The center and left windows are glazing bar sashes set in open frames, while there is one casement window on the right. On the ground floor, there are glazing bar sash windows also in open frames. To the right of the center, there is a part-glazed door situated in a half-glazed porch with a pent roof, which has bottle glass panes.
An extension is located at the right end of the house, which is lower and has one casement window. At the rear right, there is a wing that is at right angles to the front, featuring diamond pattern tile hanging on the first floor. Additionally, there are two gable lucarne windows on the left-hand return front.
