Description

This building, known as Chancellors, Gemmas Fashions, and the National Westminster Bank, is a row of cottages that has been converted into shops and offices. It dates back to the 17th century and was restored in the 20th century. The structure is timber framed, with rendered cladding on the right side and brick cladding on the ground floor to the left, while the upper part is roughcast. It features a plain tiled roof and has two storeys, with a gabled bay at the left end and a one-storey section with an attic on the right, which has two hipped roof dormer windows at the eaves level.

The building has irregular window placements, including one sash window on the first floor to the left, two casements on the first floor left of centre, and two 20th-century leaded casements on the right directly under the dormer windows. There are two shop fronts below, with an 18-pane window on the right and two bowed windows with 24 panes on the left. A glazed door is located between the bow windows on the right side (Chancellors), and there are glazed doors on the left and right sides of a recessed porch on the ground floor left.
