Description
This property comprises a house divided and partly used as a shop, dating to the 17th century, with an 18th-century extension to the left, and 19th-century alterations. The right-hand section is timber-framed and has been refronted with rendered cladding, topped with a stone-coped parapet that partially conceals a plain tile roof with a diaper (patterned) design. The building is two storeys high, with a taller basement storey to the left. It has end ridge stacks and a stack to the left of centre. Four sash windows with glazing bars are across the first floor, two to the right of centre, set under cambered arches; these are a mix of original and replica windows. A window is blocked to the left of centre. There's an angle bay on the ground floor to the left, featuring sash windows with glazing bars, set under a flat band. A projecting shop front extends centrally and to the right, featuring two four-light plate glass shop windows over tiled dado walls, one at each end. Double half-glazed doors are set under a transome light to the left and right of the blocked door in the centre of the shop front.
