Description
This is a vault located 12 metres southeast of the apse of the Church of St Mary the Virgin, dating from the late 18th century and made from older materials. It features much weathered stone set on a square stone base. The east side is bowed towards the centre and has a stepped plinth below, with lion's paws at the corners. On the north and south sides, there are carved panels depicting a seated mourning female figure, with drapery swags in the frieze above. The bowed east end is adorned with floral carvings, and there is a half-oval finial on top, which was once carved. An inscription panel on the west side is now missing.
