Description
Thames Cottage is a late 18th-century house with 19th-century extensions. It is built of yellow brick and has a plain tiled Mansard roof. The house is two storeys and has an attic, with dormers that have flat roofs and casements. It features a stone-coped parapet and end stacks. The front has four 12-pane glazing-bar sash windows on the first floor and three below, all with yellow gauged brick heads. A casement window is located on the ground floor to the left, also with a gauged brick head. The central door has the top two panels glazed, set within a panelled strip surround and 4½ inch reveals. Above the door is a flat hood with a dentilled and fluted frieze, supported by scroll brackets with palmette finials. Extensions were added to the rear in the 19th and 20th centuries.
