Description

Riverside House is a house from the early 19th century, built of dun coloured brick with a hipped slate roof that is obscured by stone-coped parapets. The building has a double pile plan and stands three storeys high with end stacks. The front is regular, featuring two large original 16-pane glazing-bar sash windows on both the first and second floors, which are set under gauged brick heads. The ground floor has smaller 16-pane glazing-bar sash windows. In the centre, there is a half-glazed door framed by a reeded strip surround with roundels at the corners, topped by a flat hood. To the right, there is another half-glazed door with sunk panels in the lower part, which has a similar surround and hood.
