Description
Holly Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th or early 18th century, with 20th-century extensions to the left and rear. It is constructed of whitewashed brick, with a plain tiled roof, and tile hanging on the rear range at the left-hand end. The house is two storeys high, with single-storey extensions set back to the left. Chimneys are located at the ends of the building. The first floor has three 12-pane sash windows set in almost flush boxes, each with a gauged brick head, now painted over. The ground floor also has three similar sash windows, one on either side of the half-glazed panelled front door, which is set within a 19th-century reeded surround with a flat hood. A parallel range extends to the rear, featuring one sash window with glazing bars and a panelled, part-glazed door.
