Ice house. C19 or earlier. Brick domed structure approximately 25 feet high and 20 feet diameter. Rectangular access in crown. Cambered arch with buttresses. Built into the side of an escarpment in a former landscaped garden in the grounds of the former Sandgatesconvent, now demolished.
