Description

Rumbold Castle Cottage is a 16th-century cottage featuring a timber frame with brick infill on the ground floor and tile hanging above. It has a plain tile roof with a ridge stack located on the right. The cottage is two storeys high and consists of two bays, with a two-bay cross wing to the right and a single-storey catslide extension to the left. The windows are 19th-century casements, and there is a door to the left that is sheltered by a gabled porch with bargeboards supported by wooden posts. The cross wing is bargeboarded and tile hung on the right-hand return front.
