Description

Combe Cottage is a 16th-century cottage located on Combe Lane in Chiddingfold. The structure originally had a timber frame, which was later sheathed in 19th-century brick. The upper portion of the walls is covered in fishscale tile hanging. The roof is tiled, hipped, with a gablet at the left end. There are three diagonal ridge stacks on the right-hand side, and one at the rear left. The cottage is two storeys high, with catslide extensions to both ends. It features 19th-century casement windows, two across the first floor. A central glazed door is sheltered by an open timber gabled porch. A single-storey 20th-century extension is located at the right end.
