Description
Combe Farm House is a farmhouse dating from the 16th century, with 19th century additions at each end. The original structure features a timber frame with brick infill and fishscale tile hanging above, topped by a plain tile roof with an off-centre ridge stack on the right.
The house has two storeys and an attic, with a gable front and a cross wing to the right that consists of a two-bay range. It includes diamond pane leaded casements beneath a pent roof and a central plank door. The early 19th century brick addition on the right end has a parallel range with hipped roofs and an end stack at the rear. This section is also two storeys high, divided by a brick band, and features leaded casements. There is a 20th century porch entrance under a pent roof on the right-hand return front. The later 19th century extension on the left end is brick-built, two storeys tall, with one bay of leaded casements and a catslide roof at the rear.
