Description
Coxcombe Cottages is a building that originally consisted of three cottages, now converted into one house. It dates back to the 16th century, with additions made in the 19th century. The structure features a timber frame with whitewashed brick and rendered infill, topped with fishscale tile hanging. The roofs are plain tiles, with ridge stacks located to the left and right of the center. The building is two storeys high, with an attic in a projecting three-bay range that has outer gable front bays on the left. To the right, there is another two-storey three-bay range. The windows are mainly 19th and 20th century casements, with ground floor windows in the left-hand range having a pent roof above. There is a glazed and plank door located under a catslide porch supported by wood at the junction of the two ranges. The rear of the building features 19th century tile-hung wings. Inside, there is a deep brick fireplace.
