Description
Hadmans is a house dating from the 14th and 16th centuries, featuring a timber frame that is underbuilt in brick with tile hanging above. It has plain tile roofs with gablets, stacks, and a large ridge stack located to the left of center. The building has two storeys and an attic, with tile-hung gabled dormers. The 19th-century casement windows on the ground floor have cambered heads, while there are four windows across the first floor with diamond pattern leading. A glazed door is situated to the left of center. The left-hand return front includes two wood mullioned windows, and there is a catslide extension to the rear left, along with a later wing to the right. Inside, the almost complete timber frame is visible, featuring corner braces and two arched doors in the left-hand side of the cross passage. The main ground floor room to the right has a deep brick fireplace with seats. Hadmans is an important part of the group of buildings surrounding the village green.
