Description

Chantry House is a house dating back to the 15th century, with a 19th-century addition to the rear. It is timber-framed with brick infill, and fishscale tile hanging above. The roof is hipped and covered in plain tiles, with a stack on the rear left. The front elevation has two storeys and features irregular leaded casements, five across the first floor. The ground floor has two windows with ovolo wood mullions and transoms, and a transom light panelled door beneath a gabled timber porch. A bay window and a wing to the rear are 19th-century additions. Chantry House is situated as part of the group of buildings surrounding the village green.
