Description
Greenaway is a house dating from the 17th century. It has a timber frame that is encased in 19th-century colourwashed brick, with fishscale tile hanging above. The roof is hipped and covered with plain tiles, featuring a central stack and an offset stack at the left end. The building has two storeys, which are divided by a dentil band. The windows are a mix of casement styles, with two on the first floor; the right-hand window is a bow window supported by brackets and topped with a turret roof. The ground floor windows have gothick arched glazing bars, and there is an arched, planked, and studded door set in a recessed catslide to the right. At the rear and left, there is a 19th-century wing. Inside, there is a deep brick fireplace with a wooden lintel.
