Description
Moorhouse Cottages is a cottage dating from the 16th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It features a timber frame set on a rubblestone and render plinth, with galleted rubblestone cladding, brick quoins, and dressings at the lower level, and tile hanging above. There is a central band of fishscale tiling. The roof is plain tiled and half hipped to the right, with a ridge stack positioned to the right of the center. The cottage has two storeys, with two 19th-century casement windows on the first floor and three casements on the ground floor. To the right of the center, there is a pointed arched door beneath a tiled pent porch roof supported by brackets. At the rear left, there is a catslide extension, and there is a wing at right angles to the rear right. Inside, the timber frame is visible.
