Description
Dene Farm Restaurant, originally a farmhouse, dates back to the 16th century and is now a restaurant. It features a timber frame construction, with weatherboarding on the street front and rendered infill on the right-hand return front. The building has plain tile roofs with central ridge stacks and is two storeys high. The projecting gables facing the street have casement windows, with two on the first floor. There is an arched plank door under a flat hood with carved spandrels to the right, and another door in a recessed range to the left, accompanied by three windows on the first floor. The side facade displays twin gables and leaded casements across the first floor. An arched plank door under a flat hood with carved spandrels is located to the left of a projecting entrance porch on the right-hand side. Inside, the timber frame is visible, and there are two deep brick fireplaces, one of which features a carved wood lintel.
