Description
The Walpole Monument is an altar-type monument dedicated to Thomas Walpole, who died in 1840. It is located 25 yards south of the Church of St Margaret. The monument features a stone pier set on a moulded plinth, with an armorial crest on the panelled north face. At the top, there is a Grecian frieze adorned with palmettes at the corners, and it is crowned by a central urn. The monument holds group value with the Church of St Margaret.
