Description
The Walrond Memorial is a freestanding monument located 4 metres west of All Saints Chapel in Uffculme. Although it is not dated, it is likely from around 1874 and commemorates Sir John and Lady Walrond. The monument is made of limestone and resembles a large font, featuring a polygonal bowl with a moulded lip and large oak leaves beneath it. The polygonal stem is decorated with additional oak leaf motifs and has a moulded base. The plinth consists of two circular steps, and around one of these steps is the inscription: 'In memory of our parents to whose skillful care in 1854 is owed the restoration of the house and its surroundings.'
