Description
Home Cottage is a mid to late 18th century cottage that stands two storeys high and features two windows. The roof has a moderate pitch and is hipped on the left side, having been renewed with machine tiles. The front of the cottage is stuccoed from the 19th century and has incised lines. It includes sash windows set in moulded wood architraves; the first-floor windows have glazing bars, while the ground floor features margin lights. The entrance has a four-panel door topped with an oblong fanlight, all beneath a bracketed cornice hood. Home Cottage is part of a group that includes Merstham Garage, The White Cottage, York Cottages, and The Gables, with The White Cottage and York Cottages noted for local interest only.
