Description
Grammercy Cottage is a mid-18th century cottage located in Fontmell Magna. It features whitewashed, coursed, squared rubble walls and gable-ended, thatched roofs. There are brick stacks at both ends and one to the right of the front door, with the right gable stack having been renewed. The cottage is two storeys high and has three irregularly placed windows. The windows are two and three-light casements with horizontal glazing bars, and the ground floor openings have flat stone arches. To the right of the center, there is a 20th-century porch with a part-glazed door. There are later outshuts on both the left and right sides of the cottage. Inside, there is an exposed shallow beam with a stop chamfered design.
