Description

Crocker's Farmhouse is a farmhouse that has been divided into two dwellings. It is dated "TD 1660" above a former door. The building is constructed of ashlar stone and has a gable-ended concrete pantile roof with stone copings at the ends. There are brick stacks at the ends and at the intersections of the two wings. The farmhouse is laid out in an L-plan and has two storeys with an irregular arrangement of four windows on the main wing. The windows are chamfered stone-mullioned types, featuring two, three, and four lights, some of which contain casements and leaded lights, while others are recent replacements. Some windows have returned labels. On the ground floor of the north facade, there are three-light casements with glazing bars flanking a central plank door. The main facade features a chamfered, four-centred doorway in the second bay from the right, which contains a 20th-century part-glazed door. There is a similar blocked doorway at the re-entrant angle opposite, and a further 20th-century copy of this doorway is located at the south end of the east facade. Additionally, there is an inscription above the west window that reads "I.D. 1660". Inside, there are plank and muntin partitions.
