Description

Maple Cottage is an 18th-century cottage located on the west side of Stane Street in Ockley. The building has a timber frame on a brick plinth, with the upper walls clad in painted weatherboard. It features a half-hipped roof covered in plain tiles, and a painted brick stack with tiled offsets at the left end. The attic has diamond-pane, leaded casement windows. On the front, there are two leaded windows under drip boards, one on either side of a central, part-glazed door sheltered by a gabled hood. A catslide extension extends to the rear. The cottage is included on the heritage list for its group value alongside the Tuns.
