Description
Spiders Barn is a house dating from the late 16th century to early 17th century, with 18th-century extensions on the sides. It features a timber frame with thin scantling that is exposed on the center and left sides, while the right side has brick cladding on the ground floor beneath a tile course. The first floor has a mix of brick and whitewashed infilling. The roofs are plain tiled and step down over the extensions. The building has two storeys, with a taller central range that has one bay, a lower single bay to the left, and two bays to the right. There is a stack at the rear left of the central range. The first floor has bracing in the center, with one diamond-pane window and one small casement window, along with another window on the right side. Each side range has one ground floor window. A door is located to the right of the center within a gabled porch. At the rear, arched bracing is exposed in the center of the first floor.
