Description

Mores is a mid-16th century open hall house that later had a smoke bay added. It is two storeys high and features a timber frame with red brick infilling. The ground floor has been refronted with painted brick, while the upper floor is tile hung. The roof is hipped with a gable at the north end; the front is covered with Horsham slabs and the back with tiles. The building has three casement windows and a simple doorcase. Inside, there is a crown post roof with smoke-blackened rafters. One bedroom on the first floor, where the smoke bay was added, retains the diamond mullions of a blocked 'wind eye'.
