Description

The Old Rosemary Cottages comprise an early and later 17th-century timber-framed house, originally built with three bays and a small chimney bay at one end. In the later 17th century, a timber-framed one-bay house was added, featuring a large outside chimney stack, square framing, and plaster infilling. The roof is tiled, with a half-hip and a pentice to the north side. Original 17th-century chimney stacks remain, alongside an external brick chimney stack to the south. Four casement windows are present, along with a gabled weather porch. Joan M Harding's "Four Centuries of Charlwood House" (page 74) provides further information.
