Description
Harrow House is a late 17th century baffle entrance central chimney house, which features an added parlour cross-wing of one bay that dates to 1727, complete with an outside chimneystack added to the south. The building stands two storeys and attics high and is timber-framed, with square framing visible on the east and north sides. The front elevation has been refronted with painted brick on the ground floor and is tile hung above. The south end of the front has a gable, and the roof is made of Horsham slabs, half hipped at the east end, while the rear now has a tiled roof. The entrance door has been widened to accommodate rolling in barrels, a feature from when the building served as an inn. Inside, the central hearth room boasts a fine inglenook and a decorated chamfered spine beam, along with three Queen struts supporting the roof.
