Description
This building is an outbuilding attached to the north-east corner of the cowshed on the west side of the former farmyard at Maddox Farm. It is a store that has been converted into a cabin and store, with a date of 1738 noted internally. The structure features a weatherboarded timber frame and a red pantile roof. It has a small rectangular two-cell plan oriented on a north-south axis and is a single storey with a loft over the north end.
On the south gable wall, there is a doorway to the right and a two-light casement window in the centre. The north gable wall includes a doorway and an attached shed, which is not of special interest. The west side has a gabled dormer for the loft, which is closed by a wooden shutter with strap hinges. Inside, the north end displays angle- and arch-braces, with one brace inscribed "1738."
