Description
Mill House is a house that was probably built around 1830 and has been slightly altered since. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and features a slate roof. The building has a rectangular double-depth plan and stands two storeys high with three symmetrical bays. The central doorway is segmental-headed and now has a modern glazed door. The windows are segmental-headed sashes with margin panes. The hipped roof is topped with two large corniced chimneys at the rear. On the left side of the house, there is one window on each floor towards the rear, with a casement window at ground level and a 12-pane sash window above. The rear corner of the building is tusked, indicating a possible intended rear wing. The right side has an inserted door and window. The rear and interior of the house have not been inspected. Mill House is part of a group with the former mill known as The Granary, located approximately 10 meters to the south.
