Description
Dial Cottage is a 17th-century cottage located on the west side of Middle Street in Shere. It is timber framed with whitewashed brick infilling on the right side, rubblestone infilling on the left, and red brick infilling to the rear wing. The roof is covered in plain tiles. A triple ridge stack, featuring a corbelled top, is positioned to the right of the centre of the building and is dated 1622. The cottage has three framed bays. The upper floor has three leaded casement windows, and the ground floor features four irregularly spaced windows. A pentice porch hood extends over the left-hand door and across to an adjacent window. A wing extends at a right angle to the rear.
