It is constructed from galleted sandstone with brick dressings and features a plain tiled half-hipped roof. The cottage has two storeys and end stacks. The north side, which faces the entrance, has leaded casement windows and dentilled brick eaves, with two windows on each floor. The ground floor windows are set under cambered heads.
