Description

The Dovecot, originally built in the 18th century and converted into a cider house in the 19th century, now serves as a store. It was restored in the 20th century. The structure is made of red brick and features a plain tiled roof topped with a gilt finial. It has an octagonal shape with a moulded brick eaves cornice and an open arcaded plinth on a central stem, complete with impost blocks for the arches. Each face of the building has arched Y tracery "Gothick" windows, which are positioned under raised brick hoods. The east front includes a cambered head casement above a cambered head door, which is accessed by a flight of seven steps.
