Description
The former brew house to Aldro School is a building from the mid-18th century that has been converted into a classroom. It is constructed of galleted sandstone with brick dressings and features angle quoins. The roof is plain tiled and has 20th-century bargeboards. The building is two storeys high and has a stack on the left side. There is a blocked D-shaped panel in the gable, which has a patterned brick band above its base. A plat band runs over the ground floor, and there are buttresses at the left corner. On the left side, there is a casement window beneath a brick arch, and a half-glazed door is located to the right. The left return front has one ground floor window. Additionally, there is a hipped roof screen wall with an arched entrance attached to the left side of the building. This structure is included for its group value only.
