Description

Chapel House is a cottage dating from the mid-to-late 18th century. It is constructed of coursed squared sandstone with herring-bone tooling. The roof is covered in concrete tiles, with raised verges, ashlar coping, and shaped kneelers. Brick stacks are at either end, the one on the right being entirely brick. A brick outshut has been added to the rear and extended. The cottage is two storeys high and has three bays. The central entrance has a half-glazed door protected by a three-piece lintel with a projecting keystone. 20th-century casement windows are set within flat arches with splayed voussoirs on the ground floor. A projecting eaves band runs along the top of the building. The listing also includes the building for group value considerations.
