Description

Moor House is a cottage dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of coursed squared sandstone with herring-bone tooling. The roof is swept, tiled with pantiles, featuring raised verges, an ashlar coping, and shaped kneelers. A catslide roof extends to the rear, and the end stacks are rebuilt in brick. The cottage has two storeys and two bays. A rear outshut is a later addition. The ground floor has C20 bow windows, and a central door is set within a C20 stone porch. The first floor has sliding sash windows with keystones. The eaves are stepped. The building is listed partly for group value considerations.
