Description
South End is a cottage dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of coursed squared sandstone featuring herring-bone tooling. The roof is swept pantile with ashlar coping and shaped kneelers, and there are brick stacks at each end. The building has two storeys and three bays, with a central half-glazed door. The ground floor has 20th-century windows set beneath splayed stone lintels, which also display herring-bone tooling, while the first floor features windows with incised voussoirs and keystones. A stepped eaves band adds to the architectural detail.
