Description
Turpins Lodge is a cottage dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of coursed squared sandstone featuring herring-bone tooling. The roof is covered with concrete tiles and has ashlar coping and shaped kneelers. There is a partly stone stack on the right side of the building, and the entrance is located in the gable. The cottage has two storeys and consists of two bays, with 20th-century fixed light windows and iron ties. A fire insurance plaque is also present, and the eaves are stepped. The building is included in the register partly due to its group value with nearby structures.
