Description

Rodsall Manor House is a house built in 1680, with additions made in 1724 and 20th-century extensions on the left. The structure is made of galleted sandstone with red brick dressings and quoins, topped with plain tiled roofs that are hipped to the right, and lower roofs over the extensions to the left. The house has one storey with attics in the gables, featuring end stacks and a large square stack on the right-hand return front.

The front has two gabled bays, with the left-hand gable displaying a rendered plaque inscribed "1680 F.W." and the right-hand gable showing stone and brick dating. There is one leaded 2-light attic window on the left, and three windows on the first floor, with the larger window located in the right-hand gable. The ground floor features two square bay windows under hipped roofs. A central ribbed door is situated under a cambered head, flanked by leaded margin lights and topped with a flat dentilled hood.

To the left, there is a two-storey rubblestone extension, which is square in shape, with a single-storey range across the front and a first-floor verandah behind an iron balustrade. On the right-hand return front, a square bay rises through two storeys to the left end, with four casement windows across the first floor beneath gauged brick heads. Another ribbed door is located to the right under a bracketed hood.

Inside, the house features some deep brick fireplaces, including one with an Ionic columned fireplace surround in the ground floor room at the front right.
