Description
Gatwick End is a house dating from the 16th century, with an extension added in the 18th century and another extension to the rear from the 19th century. The building features a timber frame that is exposed on the left end wall, with sandstone infill below and ironstone galleted, rendered infill above. The structure is underbuilt in brick and has tile hanging on the front, with brown brick extensions. The roofs are plain tiled, with a lower hipped roof over the extension and a half-hipped roof on the left side. The house is two storeys high and has a rebuilt ridge stack to the right of the centre and an end stack on the right. There is a brick dentil eaves course on the extension. The first floor has four casement windows, with larger casement windows below. To the right end, there are casement doors, and a gabled porch with herringbone brick infill and glazed above is located to the right of centre. Inside, the framing is visible, including the old exterior wall.
