Description
The lodge and store located north-east of Fulbrook House were built in 1897 by Sir Edwin Lutyens. They are constructed from coursed, rough-dressed Bargate stone with tile on edge dressings, and feature some tile hanging on the garage, along with plain tiled roofs that extend over the eaves. The complex consists of two rectangular buildings facing each other across a paved yard, with entrance walls and gates at the west end.
The left-hand lodge is a single storey with an attic, featuring two diagonal brick stacks at the right end. It has two gabled dormer windows on the yard front and two casement windows below. A door on the right end is flanked by margin lights. The gable end to the east has one first-floor window and a part-glazed door on the ground floor, which has an arched surround and tile on edge voussoir decoration. At the rear, there is a large offset, truncated stack with a small window beneath the tile on edge decoration.
The garage and store range to the right is also a single storey with an attic, featuring a front stack at the left end. There is a hip-roofed loft door to the right above two sets of double doors. The garage door is located in the centre of the ground floor under a wooden lintel, with a single door to the left and another door leading to the first floor of the gable end to the west, which is accessed by a flight of external steps.
