Description
This is a barn with an attached dovecot located at Hammonds Farm, dating from the early 16th century, with a 19th-century interior. The structure is built from random flint rubble, partly rendered with mortar, and features clunch block angle dressings. The roofs are plain tiled and hipped, with ridge breathers on the barn. The barn itself is rectangular and has narrow rectangular and square openings, which serve as breathers in the walls. The main entrance is located to the left, sheltered by a hipped, plain tiled hood supported by massive braces. Inside, the barn is ceiled. The dovecot is square with a pyramidal roof topped by a lantern. It has a door on the south side, framed in brick with a transom light above, and is connected to the barn by a flat roof.
