Description
Britains Farm is a hall house dating from the mid to late 16th century, with an extension added to the left in the 18th century. It features a timber frame that is under-built in brick, with some parts colourwashed and others exposed, showcasing red and brown brick infill. The roof is plain tiled, hipped with a gablet on the right side. The building stands two storeys high and consists of five framed bays, with an offset end stack on the left. The centre bay is narrow, and there is good bracing visible on the first floor. Each large framed bay has one diamond pane leaded casement window, and there is one window on the first floor to the left. The ground floor has three windows on the right and two cambered head casements on the left, with a door located to the left of centre.
