Description
The Old Rectory is a house dating from the early 19th century, around 1819. It features colourwashed stucco and low pitched hipped slate roofs, with a T-shaped plan. The building has two storeys and end stacks. The original entrance front includes a gabled wing to the right, which is bowed on both floors. The first floor has 12-pane glazing bar sash windows with margin lights, while the ground floor features a tripartite window with margin lights. To the left, there are three 12-pane first floor windows with margin lights, two casement doors, and an angle bay window on the ground floor. At the centre of the ground floor, there is a tent roofed trellis porch with five arcaded bays supported by thin pillars. The right-hand return front, now the entrance, has a glazed door in a Doric style, a flat roof portico supported by two columns and two half columns with a guttae frieze.
