Description
The Green Cottage and Sage Antiques is a house that has been divided and is now part shop. It dates from the mid-18th century and is constructed of colourwashed brick with a hipped plain tiled roof. The building has two storeys and features brick modillioned eaves. There is a larger stack on the left side of the ridge and a ridge stack to the right of centre.
The front of the building is irregular, with one 19th-century glazing bar sash window on the first floor to the left and four 18th-century glazing bar sash windows on the first floor to the right. On the ground floor, there are two round, bowed, glazing bar shop windows to the left and right of centre, along with a casement window at the right end. The Green Cottage has a half-glazed door beneath a transom light, with flat wooden braces to the right. Sage Antiques features a similar half-door under a flat hood, set in a panelled strip surround to the left.
