Description
J. Hartley Antiques Limited is a house that has been converted into a shop, dating from around 1700. It was extended to the left in the late 20th century. The building is constructed of red and blue brick and features a hipped roof covered with plain tiles, along with red brick extensions. It stands two storeys tall and has seven "cross", leaded, mullion and transomed casements on the first floor. On the ground floor to the left, there is a large 19th-century angle bay shop window, and to the right, a smaller angle bay shop front. The main entrance consists of a half-glazed panelled door set under a transom light, framed by a moulded surround with corner paterae between the shop windows. There is also a further half-glazed door to the left of the centre. The late 20th-century extension projects to the left end and includes garage doors and four "cross" windows above. To the right end, there is a recessed porch and a brick pier with a pointed arched door.
